Today was Miller's first trip to the dentist for a cleaning. He did GREAT!
He made his first trip to the dentist the week of Christmas because he took a bite of applesauce just out of the fridge and grabbed his jaw/ear area and said "OUCH!" He had never done that before, and with the holidays coming up, I panicked and called Casey's best friend Josh to see if he could see Miller that day. Miller acted like he did not feel well, but did a fabulous job opening wide for Josh. He was so interested in all of the "tools". Turns out that everything was just fine and his teeth are perfectly healthy, so we scheduled him for his first cleaning after Christmas. I had planned to take him to our pediatrician the next day to check his ears, but he never complained again...

So today, we went back to see Dr. Josh for a cleaning. My mom rode with us today and on the way Miller said, "So, who is going to sit in the chair with me today?!" He was telling us which toy he wanted out of the toy box before we even got there!
Miller knew the drill. He opened great and loved "Mr. Thirsty" (the little straw thing that sucks the water out of your mouth). I was concerned that we were long overdue for a cleaning, but Josh and Emily reassured me that we were not and that unless the children will sit still for the cleaning, there is no point unless you see any visual problems. Miller did so well during the cleaning that he even got the fluoride treatment. All day he has been asking if his teeth were still clean.
